A tiny musical wonder

Mozart's father noticed that little Wolfgang could remember and play tunes perfectly after hearing them only once. By age five he was composing, and by six he was playing concerts for kings and queens across Europe!

Music everywhere

As he grew up, Mozart wrote every kind of music โ€” cheerful symphonies, grand operas, gentle piano pieces, and more. His melodies could make you feel happy, excited, or peaceful, almost like magic.

Working hard

Even a genius has to practice! Mozart worked very hard, sometimes writing music late into the night. He composed more than 600 works in his short life โ€” an amazing amount for someone who only lived to 35.

"The music is not in the notes, but in the silence between." โ€” Mozart

Why we remember him

Mozart showed that wonderful gifts grow even bigger with hard work and love. His music is still played in concerts, movies, and even cartoons today. Like the artist Leonardo da Vinci, he turned imagination into masterpieces.
