Aahana's Web for Kids ("we", "us") is a family-run educational website created by Aahana (a child) and operated by her parent/guardian. We care a lot about privacy — especially children's privacy. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect and how we use it.

Who runs this site

This website is owned and operated by Aahana's parent/guardian. Aahana creates the content; the adult owner is responsible for the site, any payments, and this policy. Contact us any time at [email protected].

Children's privacy (COPPA)

This site is intended to be used by children together with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Sign-ups, the waitlist, and any purchases are intended for parents/guardians, not children.

If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information without parental consent, email us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

Memberships, usernames & your child's creations

Adults set up memberships. The $1/month membership is created and managed by a parent/guardian (18+). Payment details go only to Square.
Usernames are nicknames. We ask children to choose a fun nickname — not their real name. Please don't enter a real name, address, school, email, or photo as a username.
Creations stay on the device. In the current version, the work your child makes in a lesson's mini-workspace is saved only in your own browser (local storage on your device). It is not sent to us or stored on our servers.
If we add cross-device saving later, we will store the bare minimum (a nickname and the child's saved work) under the parent's account, with no child real names or emails required, and we will update this policy first.
You're in control. You can clear a child's saved work anytime from the lesson ("Clear my work"), and parents can ask us to delete account data by emailing us.

What we collect

Waitlist email: if a parent enters their email to hear about lessons, we collect that email (and an optional child age range) only to send lesson updates.
Payments: if you buy a lesson or membership, payment is processed by our payment provider (Square). We do not see or store your card number — Square handles that securely.
Basic web logs: standard, short-lived technical logs needed to run the site. We do not run advertising trackers or sell data.

How we use information

To send you lesson updates you asked for.
To provide and deliver lessons you purchase.
To keep the site secure and working.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We only use trusted service providers to operate the site, such as our payment processor (Square), our email/form tool, and our hosting/security provider (Cloudflare). They process data on our behalf.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from emails any time (every email has an unsubscribe link, or email us).
Ask us to see or delete your information — just email [email protected].

Changes

If we update this policy we'll change the date at the top. Please check back now and then.
