Thousands of years ago in Egypt, kings called pharaohs ruled the land along the Nile river. They built giant pyramids 🔺 out of huge stone blocks — and no one is totally sure how they moved them! The Egyptians also wrote with little pictures called hieroglyphics ✍️ and loved their cats so much they thought they were magical. 🐱

The Roman Empire was one of the biggest and most powerful in all of history. The Romans were amazing builders — they made straight roads, bridges, and water channels called aqueducts that still stand today! 🌉 They watched shows in a giant stadium called the Colosseum 🏟️, and a lot of our letters and numbers come from them.
